When it comes to selecting your perfect security camera, you may not know where to start. Well, I’ve done my research, tested all the cameras, and written about what I believe are the best cameras out there. After many months of reviewing different cameras from top brands like Arlo and Canary, I’m ready to show you the best security cameras of 2019. I love the Nest Cam Indoor— obviously, or I wouldn’t have named it my best camera!Video wise, the Nest Cam impresses with 1080p HD display, a wide 130 degree field of view and the ability to zoom in eight times. The night vision is similarly clear with eight infrared LED sensors, and the camera comes equipped with two way audio. Not only does two way audio let you speak to whoever you’re recording, which can be an easy way to talk to family members from afar, but it’s also a great way to scare away intruders as a last ditch effort. You’d be scared too if a disembodied voice came screaming out at you to get out of their house!On a more negative note, the camera’s night vision wasn’t quite as clear as I’d like it to be. While the box said you’d be able to see for 15 feet, things got blurry for me at 10. However, I am quite pleased with the camera’s two way audio and smart platform integrations, which include Amazon Alexa, Fire TV, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. It’s hard to find a camera that integrates with Apple HomeKit, as its one of the
less popular smart home automations, so I like that the Circle 2 really gives you options here.

It’s ‘that’s the guy who did my smart house. ’”That isn’t to say dealers don’t view them as competition, however. For the second consecutive year SDM’s Industry Forecast Study cited DIY security providers as their greatest competition in the coming year, with 33 percent of respondents choosing DIY companies as their No. 1 competitive threat. National/global security companies followed, at 28 percent of respondents. However, wireless phone providers/broadband providers fell to 7 percent as a perceived threat, down from 11 percent last year. In all cases, it seems dealers and manufacturers alike view competition as untapped opportunity, a philosophy that also factors into the healthy optimism this year.
